Security for the LA28 Olympic and Paralympic Games.

From July 14 to August 27, 2028, Los Angeles hosts the largest event in its history, with police resources committed to the Games. We protect the businesses, estates, and private events around them, with off duty law enforcement, armed officers, and unarmed officers on one plan.

What the Games mean for your property

Every fact below comes from an official or published source, listed at the bottom of this page.

A federal security event

The Games are a National Special Security Event, so the U.S. Secret Service leads the security plan inside and around the venues.

Police stretched thin

LAPD estimates it needs about 6,700 officers a day at the peak and can supply about 2,200, with outside agencies filling the rest. Expect slower response to routine calls across the city.

Crowds across the region

About 14 million tickets, venues from Downtown LA and Inglewood to Long Beach, Pasadena, Venice Beach, and the Honda Center in Anaheim, and a city push to keep cars off the road.

Who we protect during the Games

Venue security is handled by federal agencies, local police, and the official LA28 provider. We cover everything outside the perimeter.

Businesses near venues

Hotels, restaurants, bars, and retail facing crowds, closures, and theft while police are committed elsewhere.

Estates and rentals

Homes rented to athletes, sponsors, and celebrities, and owners who travel during the Games and leave a home empty.

Hospitality houses and sponsor events

Entry control, guest lists, and VIP arrival and departure for corporate and national hospitality events.

Watch parties and private events

Crowd management, alcohol service support, and discreet off duty law enforcement at the door.

Executive protection

Armed drivers and protection for visiting executives and high profile guests moving between hotels, events, and venues.

HOAs and apartment communities

Extra patrol for communities near venues, transit hubs, and road closures.

How we staff the Games

  • Off duty and retired law enforcement for VIP entries, high profile homes, and the highest risk posts, confirmed by name and date well ahead of time.
  • Armed officers where cash, high value product, or a known threat is on site.
  • Unarmed officers for entry, guest lists, lobbies, and patrol at the lowest cost.
  • One plan for larger sites. Events and properties with several posts get the right officer type at each post, on one schedule and one invoice.
  • Proof of coverage. Checkpoint scans, GPS, and photo checks on our accountability platform, with a report for each service period.

Plan early

  1. Now

Reserve dates and tell us what you are protecting. Reserved clients get first priority on officers.

  2. Early 2028

Site walkthrough, written post orders, and a plan built around official road closure and transit plans once they are published.

  3. July 14 to August 27, 2028

Officers in place for the Olympics and Paralympics, with daily reports.

Questions we get

Will you provide security inside Olympic venues?

No. Venue security is led by federal agencies under the National Special Security Event plan, with LA28's official private security provider and local police. We protect what sits outside the venue perimeter: businesses, homes and estates, hospitality houses, and private events.

When should we book coverage for the Games?

As early as possible. The Games bring the region's largest security demand in decades, and police resources will be committed to the Games. Clients who reserve now get first priority on officers and dates.

Can you provide off duty police officers during the Games?

We can propose off duty and retired law enforcement where the risk calls for it. Every officer's availability depends on his or her own agency's scheduling during the Games, so we confirm names and dates in writing well ahead of time. For larger programs we combine them with armed and unarmed officers.

Do you cover Orange County and the beach venues?

Yes. We cover Los Angeles and Orange County, including areas near the Honda Center in Anaheim, Long Beach, Inglewood, Downtown LA, Pasadena, and Venice Beach.

What about other big events before 2028?

The same planning applies to Super Bowl LXI at SoFi Stadium in February 2027 and other major events. Ask us about event coverage now and we will carry the plan forward to the Games.
